We’re always happy when we have been of service. That is why we’d like to share this letter; a testament to how lives can be changed when a home is made accessible.
Dear Mr. Baum:
My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your assistance with the construction on our home. The house is a model of accessibility for me, function for our family, and beauty for my wife. Several things stood out in the process of working with you and I wanted to speak to those particular things.
First, your knowledge in both construction and adaptation was incredible. This is the first house we have ever built. You gave us great insight into what we should look for and the questions to ask our builder. Without your guidance, we would have been completely at the mercy of our builder. We were fortunate to have a builder with great integrity. I can only imagine what could happen without a builder of integrity and without a person of your knowledge.
In addition, the ideas you suggested to make our home accessible opened up possibilities of which my wife and I were unaware. Our home would not be completely accessible had it not been for your experience and knowledge in accessibility.
Second, your ability to interact in a very positive way with our builder and us made the process very smooth. From time to time, issues arise in construction, issues that can be difficult to deal with. You helped handle and guide us through all the issues that arose so that the process was extremely smooth. You showed an incredible tact and ability to manage people.
Third, you were incredibly creative with the design of the house and relating that to my disability and what my disability could look like in thirty years. You showed a breadth of vision in these areas that ensures our house will meet our needs for the next thirty years as our family grows and as my disability potentially changes.
My wife and I would like to thank you and your staff for an outstanding job. We may not need to build another house in the future, but if we do, rest assured, we will not hesitate to call you and see if you would help us again.
If there is ever anything we can do to help you or those with whom you are working in the future, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Mike and Maureen Frogley
